The suddenness of the lockdown in March meant many people who had library books out may not have had a chance to return them. But one librarian is assuring the public that readers are in the clear.
Leigha Chiasson-Locke is a children and youth services collections librarian with NL Public Libraries. She says most libraries have reopened for walk-in services, and for those that haven’t, curbside pickup is still available.
If you haven’t had a chance to return your books since before the lockdown and are concerned about over 6 months of overdue fees, Chiasson-Locke says not to worry because they are currently not collecting fees for overdue books.
