Federal regulators have turned down an application by Ocean Choice International to build an industrial complex in Long Pond harbour in Conception Bay South.

But the company says it’s all part of the process and they’re confident their updated application will be approved once they include more information that was recommended by Transport Canada.

Some residents in the area were upset that they weren’t consulted in the lead-up to the company’s application, but Ocean Choice says they’re making adjustments to their plan based on local input and Transport Canada’s advice.

They said their updated plan will be released within a couple of weeks.
