We will find out this afternoon whether the Canadian Civil Liberties Association will appeal the Supreme Court’s decision on the travel ban.
The province’s travel ban was challenged under the notion that it violated mobility rights after a woman was denied entry to attend her mother’s funeral.
Last month, Justice Donald Burrage ruled that Section 1 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms upheld the travel ban in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The CCLA is expected to provide an update on its decision this afternoon at 1 p.m.
