A Newfoundlander has been named to the list of Colorado Hospital Superheroes who have risen above and beyond during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Brigus native Kim Flynn is the director of safety, security and emergency preparedness for the Vail, Colorado Health System.
She recently helped oversee the very first shipment of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine in that city.
The Colorado Hospital Superhero list honours people who have gone “above and beyond” for their patients and communities through the health crisis. The heroic traits recognized include “courage, a strong moral code, a fighting spirit and mental toughness.”
