Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expressing disappointment with US President Joe Biden’s decision to cancel the Keystone XL Pipeline.
The decision will have a significant economic impact on the country, but especially to the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Trudeau spoke with Biden yesterday after a meeting with provincial and territorial leaders earlier in the day.
He vowed that Ottawa will continue to have the backs of Albertans and those in Saskatchewan and assured: “we will always stand up for good, Canadian jobs.”
