Ches Crosbie says any health care recommendations coming from Moya Greene’s economic recovery team report will undergo some serious scrutiny before being implemented if the Tories form government on February 13.
The governing Liberals have been accused of trying to shield the public from Greene’s interim report by holding the election two weeks before its February 28 due date.
Premier Andrew Furey has insisted Greene’s final report will be subject to debate and public consultation. But Crosbie says that’ll be long after the election is over, adding the report should put people and patients first.
He says not a single health care recommendation will be implemented without undergoing a ‘patient-centred’ analysis, as opposed to the Liberals’ “cold-hearted financial review.”
