The RNC is asking for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage in the area of Torbay Road or the Torbay Bypass Road to come forward as they continue their investigation into a fatal crash in the area early Sunday morning.

The single-vehicle rollover crash claimed the life of a 29-year-old woman who was a passenger in the grey Ford Ranger pickup.

The driver, a 28-year-old man from Mount Pearl, was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

RNC say the vehicle was travelling north at the time of the accident which occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday. The area was experiencing thunder and lightning at the time.

RNC, the Torbay Fire Department and Eastern Health paramedics attended the scene.
