RNC say a man was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds following an incident in a west-end neighbourhood Sunday evening.

Police received reports of gunshots in the area of Harris Road around 10:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Officers, with the help of the Police Dog Service, located an injured man who was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police do not believe the shooting was a random incident.

There have been no arrests, and the investigation remains active. Anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage from the area of Harris Road is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
