The RNC has laid weapons charges against a St. John’s man following a late-night shooting in the capital city Sunday that sent a man to hospital with gunshot wounds.

The 42-year old accused was arrested on Monday and charged with trafficking in weapons, breach of a firearms prohibition order and other weapons-related offences.

The arrest came following the search of a home in the city’s west end. The investigation continues and anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage from the area of Harris Road in St. John’s Sunday night is asked to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
