St. John’s council will go over some of the concerns raised by members of the public on the city’s new Heritage By-law.
Among the concerns raised were the boundaries of the new Heritage area which takes in the historic Battery, considerations that must be taken prior to demolition of a heritage property, exemptions from heritage standards and the design of tall buildings among other things.
Council will consider the feedback received and make any necessary adjustments prior to approval of the new by-law at council’s August 25th Committee of the Whole meeting.
The What We Heard document is available on the city’s Engage St. John’s website.
