A bomb threat was called in to two St. John’s hospitals Sunday night.
Eastern Health says that shortly after 7 p.m., a caller to St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital claimed that there was a bomb at the site. Security secured all entrances to the building and staff followed established protocols. The RNC took control of the scene when they arrived.
A little over two hours later, a similar call was received at the Health Sciences Centre and the same protocols were followed.
A criminal investigation into the threats is underway.
