One man was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds following an early morning incident in the downtown.

It’s the latest in a number of reports of gunshots fired in the northeast Avalon area in recent days.

RNC were called to the Livingstone Street area around 2:40 this morning and found an injured man on the scene. Police do not believe the shooting was random.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. RNC are asking anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage from Livingstone Street and surrounding area around the time of the incident to contact them or Crime Stoppers.

RNC are also investigating a report of gunshots fired at an apartment complex in Kelligrews on Tuesday afternoon.
