The RCMP say 24-year-old Jacob Dean Doyle, wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, is back in the province answering to drug charges, after recently turning himself in to police in Golden, British Columbia.
Doyle was wanted on drug charges stemming from Project Barnacle, an organized crime investigation led by RCMP in St. John’s.
Charges were laid against Doyle in September, in connection with what police call one of the largest seizures of ecstasy ever in this province.
More than 11 pounds of the drug were seized.
Doyle is charged with trafficking in MDMA and possession for the purposed of trafficking.
He was scheduled to appear in court in St. John’s today.
