A man facing firearms offences after another man was shot in the west end of St. John’s is expected to enter a plea a month from now.
42-year-old James Piercey was charged following a late-night shooting in early August, which sent a man to hospital with gunshot wounds.
Piercey was arrested the next morning and charged with trafficking in weapons, breach of a firearms prohibition order and other weapons-related offences.
That arrest came following the search of a home on Harris Road near the Village Mall, in the area where the shooting took place.
Piercey has not been charged with pulling the trigger, but police continue to appeal for any private video surveillance or dash cam footage from the area on the night of August 8th.
Piercey remains free on conditions pending his next court date on November 30th.
