An event focused on restorative justice in the province is taking place next week.
The Miawpukek First Nation, along with Relationships First-Restorative Justice Consortium and Memorial University, are holding “Two-Eared Listening for Deeper Understanding: Restorative Justice in Newfoundland and Labrador”, which focusses on Indigenous experiences of justice and injustice.
The event hopes to strengthen the province’s knowledge and practice of relational, restorative justice, and inform Education, Justice, and Community Policies on Truth and Reconciliation Commission recommendations.
The event takes place Thursday through Saturday at the Emera Innovation Conference Centre and online.
