A traffic stop in Deer Lake on Friday resulted in drug charges being laid against a west coast man.
RCMP pulled a vehicle over on the Trans Canada in Deer Lake around 7 p.m. Friday. The stop resulted in the arrest of two men, and the location and seizure of cocaine, cash, prescription pills and suspected methamphetamine.
Both men were released. One of the men, a 30-year-old from Irishtown, is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to answer to a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
The investigation continues.
