It’s a tale of two cities that’s going to be decided on the ice after the mayor of St. John’s issued a challenge to the mayor of Toledo, Ohio.
The Newfoundland Growlers are heading to Toledo with a 2-0 series lead after exciting back-to-back victories over the Walleye in the first two games of the Kelly Cup Finals.
Just before game one, Mayor Danny Breen tweeted a challenge to Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz that if the Growlers took the cup, he would have to sing O Canada, and vice versa.

The Toledo mayor accepted the challenge confident that the Walleye would win, while warning Breen that the Star Spangled is a much more difficult anthem to sing.
