A consumer advocate does not expect any big swings in the price of fuel tonight. It was only a day ago that the Public Utilities Board jacked up the cost dramatically in one of those off-schedule surprise moves.
Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Energy, says his numbers show an increase of a couple of pennies per litre while diesel will go down by about a cent.
McTeague says predicting what the PUB will do is tough business as they seem to have their own formula.
He says his numbers work for the rest of North America so maybe it’s time for the PUB to shed a little light on the issue by giving us a daily benchmark instead of these sudden changes.
