The Crown and defence are scheduled to sum up their cases at the Supreme Court trial of Stephen Hopkins today.
Hopkins is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in her Cowan Heights home in September of 2020.
He’s representing himself at the trial which, as a result, has gone on about two weeks longer than expected.
The Crown has entered DNA evidence and called witnesses who place Hopkins at the scene, as well as testimony from the alleged victim who has also identified him as the assailant.
But Hopkins has denied it all, saying police conspired to arrest, charge and convict him.
The case will be called in Supreme Court this morning at 10 a.m.
