TakeChargeNL kicked off its EV Roadshow campaign in St. John’s on Sunday.
The event took, the first of four stops across the province, took place at the St. John’s Farmers Market.
Dozens of vendors including dealerships, electric vehicle owners, and experts were in attendance to offer an inside look into electric vehicles as an opportunity to take a test drive.
Peter Upshall, an energy management engineer with TakeChargeNL, says the large crowd attending the event is a good sign that the province is slowly moving towards an all-electric future.
Upshall says the transition is taking longer than they had hoped, but the electric vehicle market is picking up with more vehicles on the way in the near future.
The EV Roadshow will be heading to Corner Brook in July along with other stops across the province. Locations and dates of those events will be announced at a later date.
