Bell Island RCMP are seeking the public’s help after receiving a report overnight of a woman in distress.
Police received a call from a resident around 11 p.m. Tuesday indicating that they heard what sounded like a woman yelling for help in the area of Davidson Avenue in Wabana.
The witness ran to the scene and came upon a vehicle that was pulling away from the area.
Bell Island RCMP conducted extensive patrols and made inquiries in the neighbourhood, but the woman was not identified.
No other reports were received, and the vehicle, of which they had no description, was not located.
