RCMP have issued an arrest warrant for a man who failed to show up for his court appearance on Thursday.
Police say 50-year-old Gregory (Greg) Denny was scheduled to appear in Clarenville provincial court to face charges of assault, assault causing bodily harm and breach of probation.

Denny was last seen in Clarenville late Thursday night but is believed to be trying to leave town, possibly hitchhiking, in an attempt to return to his home province of Nova Scotia.
He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall with brown eyes and black hair, a medium build and weighing about 180 pounds.
