A taxi driver in St. John’s was assaulted by a passenger last night, resulting in an arrest.
The incident happened at about 10:30 at Topsail Road and Burgeo Street.
A 73-year-old man has been charged with common assault.
He is spending some time at the lockup until he appears in court today.
