Hockey is returning to the Mary Brown’s Centre and it means the St. John’s Junior Caps are on the move.
Earlier this month CEO of St. John’s Sports and Entertainment, Brent Meade indicated that they were looking at the possibility of some junior hockey opportunities at the Mary Brown’s Centre, with the goal of eventually seeing pro hockey return.
The Newfoundland Growlers left a 36-night gap in the Mary Brown’s Centre schedule when they folded just days before the end of the regular season.
The Junior Caps tweeted out that they will be playing their home games at the Mary Brown’s Centre next season, calling it a “huge opportunity for our hockey club”
Training camp starts in about 3 months’ time.
