The Avalon Arena Association and VOCM Cares Foundation have formed a new partnership to support the annual Coats for Kids Campaign.
The initiative, which helps ensure children in need stay warm throughout the winter months, now has additional drop-off locations at both Twin Rinks on Anthony Avenue and Capital Subaru Arena on Hebron Way.
All gently-used coats, hats, mittens and boots for children, youth and adults are being accepted.
“We are excited to collaborate with the VOCM Cares Foundation to make a meaningful impact in our community,” said Ken O’Leary, executive director of the Avalon Arena Association. “By providing these additional locations, we hope to encourage more residents and our facility users to participate and help keep our children warm during the cold months.”

The Coats for Kids Campaign, organized by VOCM Cares, has been a staple in the community, demonstrating the power of collective action.
“This partnership enhances our ability to reach out to more people and collect more coats, ensuring that no child is left out in the cold,” added Jenelle Lambert with the VOCM Cares Foundation.
The campaign runs through Oct. 24, but earlier contributions are also greatly appreciated.
