A lockdown at Dorchester Penitentiary in New Brunswick has ended, resulting in the seizure of several contraband items.

The facility, which houses some inmates from this province, was put on lockdown on June 9 so staff could conduct an “exceptional search.”

There’s no indication as to how much, or what, was seized.

The institution has resumed normal operations.
