Ten people have been named as recipients of Seniors of Distinction awards, handed out at Government House in St. John’s yesterday.
The recipients are Clement Benteau, Priscilla Boutcher, Mireille (mee-ray) Durand Thomas, Dennis and Roxann Gill, Linda Hickey, Janet Hounsell, Sheila Ann Lee, Maureen E. Mennie and Linda Oldford.
The awards are presented annually to current or past residents of the province who are 50 of age or older, and who have made significant personal, professional or volunteer contributions to their communities.
