A 40-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries as the result of a shooting early Thursday morning on Ropewalk Lane in St. John’s.
Police were called to the area around 2:30. Damage from apparent gun shots can be seen in the windows of the Burger King restaurant—which appears to be vacant.

No arrests have been made, but RNC Constable James Cadigan says investigators are seeking any possible surveillance footage from the general area.
He says they’re interested in any possible dash cam or surveillance images from the general area including Ropewalk Lane, Pennywell Road, Empire Avenue, Mundy Pond Road and beyond. “These timelines created by video are so valuable to the investigations.”
