At least one person was taken to hospital after a crash on Topsail Road this morning.
The incident happened in clear conditions as a car slid into a utility pole just short of the Commonwealth Avenue/Mount Carson Avenue intersection.
Topsail Road – both eastbound and westbound – is closed, with one-way traffic along Mount Carson Avenue. The RNC expect the Topsail Road closure to last for several hours while crews repair the utility pole.
There is no immediate word on the extent of the injuries.
