Parks NL says the use of generators is once again permitted in provincial parks.

Last week, government announced numerous measures to help mitigate the risk of forest fires.

All previously announced measures remain in place, except those around the use of generators.

Those are allowed once again, but there are a few conditions: They must never be left unattended, must only be used on hard surfaces within campsites and be away from flammable materials, and the exhaust from the generator must face away from vegetation.
