The Canadian Coast Guard confirms that the crew of a fishing vessel had to be rescued off Cape St. Mary’s yesterday.
The Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre was contacted about the situation, and two Coast Guard vessels, a helicopter, and a fixed wing aircraft were sent out to the area.
The crew ended up being rescued by another nearby ship and all other assets were told to stand down.
There’s no word on the condition of the crew at this time.
