Eight people are being invested into the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador early in the new year.
This year’s recipients include Elaine Huxter for her volunteer work, Dr. John and Maura Mannion for their contributions to the province’s culture and genealogical resources, Major (Retired) Michael James Pretty for his work in founding and creating The Trail of the Caribou Research Group, architect Philip Pratt, Mary Reid, Margaret Tibbo and Mary Winters.
An investiture ceremony is set for January 27 at Government House.
