Bay Roberts has approved its $10 million budget with no increases in residential and commercial mil rates.

Mayor Geoff Seymour calls the budget a “collaborative effort” allowing for changes to the town’s business tax structure and classifications to reflect the town’s diversified business community.

There are some increases in residential and commercial permit fees, and commercial water and sewer hook-up fees.

A total of $3.32 million has been set aside for public works, sanitation and water and sewer services, while $1.63 million has been allocated for recreation, outdoor facilities and events.
