A 38-year-old Deer Lake woman has been charged after a theft from a convenience store at a local gas station Thursday evening.
RCMP responded to the business on Upper Nicholsville Road around 6:30 after an employee reported that a woman who was known to staff, left the store with merchandise she did not pay for.
She was picked up a short time later while walking on Chapel Hill Road.
The accused is facing one count each of theft and failing to comply with a probation order.
