A 33-year-old man has been nailed with several charges after he was spotted walking down the road with a hammer during the wee hours.
Someone noticed the man strolling down Elizabeth Avenue near MUN with the tool in hand around 3:00 this morning and phoned police.
He was arrested and charged for possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assaulting a peace officer, uttering threats, obstruction, mischief and breach of probation.
He was held for court.
