A 40-year-old man was arrested after throwing a shovel at a police car yesterday.
The incident happened just after 10:00 a.m., when RNC were called to a disturbance in the east end of St. John’s.
When officers arrived, they noticed damage to a house and a vehicle, but the suspect had already left the area.
When police caught up with a group of suspects, a 40-year-old man became irate, throwing a shovel at their vehicle.
He’s now been charged with two counts of damage to property, three counts of uttering threats and a charge of assault.
He was held for court.
