Man Charged Following Drug Bust in Cowan Heights

A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged with drug trafficking following a police operation on Canada Drive yesterday.

The Weapons and Drug Enforcement Unit, along with Tactics and Rescue and the RCMP’s Emergency Response Team, searched a home on Canada Drive yesterday.

Chris Oake was found to be in possession of a quantity of drugs – believed to be cocaine and Percocet pills. Officials are waiting on lab testing on the substances seized.

Oake was held in custody pending a court appearance on two counts of trafficking and breaches of a court order.
