The town of Salmon Cove is keeping a close eye on the water supply following a notification made by the neighbouring town of Victoria.
Victoria issued a post last night indicating that staff had been dispatched to inspect the lines following reports of low or no water pressure in higher elevations of the town.
The town of Victoria has switched over to the old water intake pipe to get the water flowing due to ice and slush in Rocky Pond.
Strong winds and cold temperatures can cause problems with ice and slush being pushed into municipal water intakes.
