A third person has been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery and shooting in Sheshatshiu in December.
The incident occurred in a home on Edwards Drive in the wee hours of Tuesday, December 2nd.
Police say a gun was fired inside the home, causing damage and sending one person to hospital with injuries.
Two suspects – 23-year-old Petapen Hurley and 43-year-old Natasha Hurley – were arrested in December and charged with robbery and assault with a weapon.
Petapen Hurley is also facing three additional charges for using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.
This week a third suspect was identified and arrested. RCMP say 39-year-old Jonathan Chevrier-Icebound appeared in court yesterday on eight counts including robbery with a firearm, discharging a firearm, assault with a weapon, among other firearms-related charges.
Chevrier-Icebound is being held in custody, while Petapen and Natasha Hurley have been released on court conditions.
