The NDP is backing up opposition calls for the Wakeham government to publicly release the Bay du Nord benefits agreement.
Party leader Jim Dinn says Newfoundlanders and Labradorians deserve to know the details of any deal that will shape the province’s economic future, particularly one as significant as Bay du Nord.
He says withholding the agreement undermines public trust and prevents meaningful scrutiny of government decisions.
He accuses the PCs of taking a page “from the former Liberal playbook” on transparency.
Dinn says government can’t demand openness in opposition and then “shut the door” once in power.
