Snowfall overnight combined with strong winds has created whiteout conditions in some areas on the Avalon.

RCMP is advising drivers to avoid the Trans Canada between Butter Pot Park and Witless Bay Line due to poor conditions.

Police are reminding drivers to flick on their headlights and leave plenty of distance between vehicles.
