The Liberals have swept the three byelections in Ontario and Quebec, giving Prime Minister Mark Carney a majority government.
Dr. Danielle Martin and Doly Begum claimed the two Liberal strongholds outside Toronto.
The results weren’t so cut and dry in the hotly contested riding of Terrebonne.
Tatiana Auguste claimed victory by a margin of 800 votes – marking her return to the House of Commons.
Auguste originally won the riding by a single vote last year, however the results were later annulled in a ruling by the Supreme Court of Canada due to issues with mail-in ballots.
It’s the first time in Canadian history that a government has been flipped from minority to majority between federal elections.
