Choices for Youth is celebrating the opening of a new hub on the west coast offering health and social supports for young people.
Becket Western NL is located inside the Vine Place Community Centre in Corner Brook.
It provides free services for people between the ages of 12 and 29 in the areas of mental health, primary care, housing, employment, and community support.
Executive director Jen Crowe says the programs will be delivered through a partnership with NL Health Services, and is informed by trends they have seen across the province.
She says in some cases young people have to go to one end of the town for health care services, another for housing, and another for food. This centre puts everything under one roof.
