The spring thaw means that woods roads in much of central Newfoundland will be closed to vehicle traffic starting next week.
The temporary closures affect forest access roads in the Point Leamington, Botwood, Lewisporte, Glenwood, Birchy Bay, Gander Bay, Gambo and Glovertown areas.
The temporary closures come into effect Tuesday, and signs will be posted to remind users.
The closures are necessary to protect forest access roads from damage. Snowmobiles and ATVs will still be allowed access.
