A 70-year-old driver was ticketed and his licence was suspended after he was stopped by police for driving at twice the posted speed limit.
Holyrood RCMP pulled the man over on the Witless Bay Line near Holyrood around 9:30 yesterday morning after being clocked at speeds of up to 108 km/h in a 50km/h zone.
Police say the vehicle the man was driving was not registered and he was ticketed accordingly, in addition to excessive speeding.
