This is a big day at McDonald’s restaurants as some of the proceeds from products sold go to children’s charities.
It is McHappy Day, a cause designed to boost charitable efforts such as Ronald McDonald House.
Trevor Morris, who owns Freedom Foods and several outlets, says it is their favourite day of the year. He says there are many different ways to contribute.
“It lasts all day and there are so many order points where a person can contribute,” says Morris.
“You can do it through delivery, you can do a round-up at the kiosk or the drive-thru. The options make it easier for us to help more families.”
