The St. John’s Regional Fire Department has officially welcomed 14 new recruits to its ranks.
The new firefighters started 15 days of classroom and practical training at the Mount Pearl Fire Station and the Kenmount training tower on June 1.
A recruitment ceremony welcoming them to the department was held yesterday. The new members will be assigned to one of eight stations across the metro region.
