A man wanted by both the RNC and RCMP is back in custody following his dramatic arrest in CBS yesterday.
RNC were contacted about a vehicle speeding on Legion Road in CBS around 10:15 Thursday morning.
Patrol officers located the vehicle in question and identified the driver as 39-year-old Matthew Scott who was wanted on numerous outstanding charges including dangerous driving and driving while prohibited.
RNC say in an attempt to flee from police, Scott drove across a field and then ditched the vehicle and ran away.
Officers were able to follow his movements using a drone and containment was set up. With the help of a police dog, Scott was tracked to a home where he was arrested without incident.
He was held in custody to appear in court on three new charges of driving while prohibited, in addition to outstanding warrants from both the RNC and RCMP.
