RCMP say an investigation is underway after police at the Springdale detachment received two reports on Saturday about a tractor trailer driving erratically on the Trans Canada near South Brook.

Posts to Facebook indicate the driver was “very close to losing control” of the rig while passing vehicles and swerving into the opposing lane of traffic.

The reports were shared with neighbouring detachments but police were unable to track down the described tractor trailer.

The investigation continues.
