The RNC is looking for witnesses following a hit-and-run involving a 12-year-old child.

The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon when police say the child was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Barachois and Tomkins Street.

The 12-year-old sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white SUV.

In an unrelated case, another child was fatally struck in the center city area, leading to charges against 32-year-old Tyler Julian Day late last month.

Anyone with information, including CCTV, dashcam, or cell phone footage from the area, is asked to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
